How to Create and Link Your Card to a Wallet in the IBI App?

Let's Get Started with Adding your First Card!

1. Before you begin, make sure you're logged into IBI. You can log in by clicking the following link https://go.ibi.me
   

1. Once inside, in the top right corner, press the card icon as indicated by the arrow in the image
   

1. Next, press the "Add a new Card" button to start the process
   

To continue, make sure you have the Bolt Card app installed on your mobile device. You can download the app by pressing the corresponding button based on your preference (Android or iOS)

1. Once you have the app installed, press "Yes"
   

For this step, it is essential that you have your NFC card. This step is important because, with the card, you'll be able to link it to your wallet and make contactless payments through the Lightning Network

1. If you already have your NFC card ready, press "Yes" to continue with the linking and creation process
   

If you don’t have one, don’t worry! You can purchase one by pressing the "Buy a NFC Card" button at the bottom, and we’ll guide you through the process

Now, you need to have the NFC option enabled on your mobile device. Once you've activated NFC, follow these steps:

1. First, choose a name of your preference to identify your card
   
2. Then, bring the card close to the back of your mobile device so the NFC antenna can recognize it and extract the card's UID
   
3. When the UID of your card is recognized and appears in the corresponding input field, press "Create"
   

It’s time to link your card. There are three different methods:

1. Using Deep Links
   
2. Scanning the QR code directly from the Bolt Card app
   
3. Copying the content of the QR code to paste it into the Bolt Card app
   

Now, it’s time to link your card to a wallet!

Link your Card Using Deep Links

Linking your card using deep links is very easy. Follow the steps shown below:

1. To do this, press the "Create Bolt Card" button
   

1. When you press the button, the Bolt Card app will open on your mobile device. Remember, it’s important that you have already installed the app beforehand
   

You are now ready to link your card

1. Take your card and bring it close to the back of your phone so the NFC antenna can write the changes directly to it
   
2. Once everything is ready, you’ll see green checkmarks in the Bolt Card app, indicating that the process was completed successfully
   

For this process, it’s important not to remove your card from the NFC antenna of your device too early, as this could cause an irreversible error when linking your card

Linking Your Card by Scanning the QR Code

1. Open the Bolt Card App on your mobile device, make sure you're in the "Create Bolt Card" section, and press "Scan QR Code"
   

1. Once scanned, a card will appear for you to view the URLs and keys to ensure everything is correct. Then, press "Write card now"
   

1. Place your card near the back of your mobile device where the NFC antenna is located and wait until the changes have been written successfully
   

For this process, it’s important not to remove your card from the NFC antenna of your device too early, as this could cause an irreversible error when linking your card

1. You’ll see a series of green checkmarks when everything has been completed correctly
   

You're all set! You've successfully linked your card by scanning the QR code. You can verify that your card was created correctly in the cards section

Linking Your Card by Copying the QR Code Content

Linking your card by copying the QR code content is very simple. Follow the steps below:

1. Press the QR code to copy its content, and wait for a confirmation message indicating that it has been copied to your clipboard
   

1. Open the Bolt Card app, make sure you're in the "Create Bolt Card" section, and press the "Paste Auth URL" button
2. Paste the copied content from the QR code into the appropriate field, and press "Continue"
   
   

1. Once you've pressed continue, a card will appear so you can view the URLs and keys to make sure everything is correct. Then, press "Write Card Now"

1. Place your card near the back of your mobile device where the NFC antenna is located and wait until the changes have been written successfully
   

For this process, it’s important not to remove your card from the NFC antenna of your device too early, as this could cause an irreversible error when linking your card
