How to Reset Your Card in the IBI App?

Let’s see how to reset your card!

Resetting a card in the IBI App is very simple. Make sure to follow the steps below carefully:
  1. In the cards section, select the card you want to reset


  1. Then, press the "Freeze Card" button to freeze your card


  1. Once it's frozen, the "Reset Card" button will become available—press it to proceed with the reset


There are different ways to reset your card:
  1. Through deep links
  2. Scanning the QR code
  3. Copying the QR code content
  1. To reset it via deep link, press the "Reset Bolt Card" button


  1. When you press the button, the Bolt Card app will open on your mobile device. Remember, it’s important that you have already installed the app beforehand


You are now ready to reset your card
  1. Take your card and place it near the back of your phone so that the NFC antenna can recognize it and wipe the data
  2. Once the process is complete, you’ll see success messages displayed, just as shown in the following image

Resetting Your Card by Scanning the QR Code

To reset your card by scanning the QR code, follow the steps below:
  1. Open the Bolt Card App on your mobile device, make sure you're in the "Reset Keys" section, and press "Scan QR Code"




  1. Once the QR code is scanned, the corresponding keys for your card will appear in the displayed fields
  2. Then, press "Reset Card Now."


  1. Place your card near the back of your mobile device where the NFC antenna is located and wait until the changes have been written successfully

For this process, it’s important not to remove your card from the NFC antenna of your device too early, as this could cause an irreversible error when reset your card
  1. When the process is complete, you’ll see a series of success messages next to each corresponding key, indicating that the reset was successful

Reset your Card by Copying the QR Code Content

Reset your card by copying the QR code content is very simple. Follow the steps below:
  1. Press the QR code to copy its content, and wait for a confirmation message indicating that it has been copied to your clipboard

  1. Open the Bolt Card app, make sure you're in the "Reset Keys" section, and press the "Paste Key JSON" button


  1. Paste the copied content from the QR code into the appropriate field, and press "Continue"



  1. Once you have pasted the QR code content, the keys corresponding to your card will appear in the fields shown
  2. Then, press "Reset card now"



  1. Place your card near the back of your mobile device where the NFC antenna is located and wait until the changes have been written successfully
