When a wallet will not connect
Open Connect your wallet and read the message on the form. An empty field does not show an error. A value the screen rejects shows one of three messages. The same message can appear twice: in a bar at the top, with Close, and again inside the form.

Before you start
- The value copied from the wallet app. Type it again rather than from memory.
- The connect article, if you have not tried a wallet yet.
Nothing happens
On each form opened in this check, Continue stays disabled while the field is empty. There is no error message in that state. Type the value the wallet app gave you, then press Continue.
The message you get

*Spark, before the form
On *Spark the first screen asks you to choose Connect Wallet, Link/Import Wallet or Create A New Wallet. On Link/Import the screen says Never enter a recovery phrase. A 12- or 24-word phrase can spend the bitcoin in that wallet. The screen says tiankii will not ask you for one. If a page asks for that phrase, close it.
What you should see
A failed attempt leaves the card on Not connected yet, with Connect. Fix the value and press Continue again.

Questions
Is the message different for every wallet? Two messages cover most of the forms above. LNbits is the one that says it could not connect and points you to support.
Did the failed try leave a wallet connected? The cards checked after these tries still said Not connected yet.
